Halloween in London was fun! It was actually kind of different too, English people don't celebrate one of my most favorite holidays the American way. I will make a list outlining the differences, 'cause I'm organized like that.
1. People dress up differently. There were no Snooki's, Situations or other pop culture figures. People in London dress up in typical Halloween themed stuff, like witches with purple hair, or pumpkins or devils and stuff like that. And they add blood and gore on top of everything. Everyone had white faces and fake blood and that sort of stuff no matter what they were dressed as. There were dead brides, bloody ghosts and beat up every thing else. So we had to adapt our costumes as well... so we became- PUNCHED-OUT BOXERS!
We got free boxing gloves from the gym we joined.. so why not.
2. There is no trick-or-treating. We found this out the hard way and our excursion for candy basically turned into a big game of ding-dong-ditch as we were too scared to wait at the door and get turned down, so we would hide around the corner and run away if they didn't have any candy!
3. The binge drinking. Halloween is basically a big excuse to drink. All of the halloween themed parties and stuff were at bars, and everyone drank a lot. Not really that surprising since English people are always looking for excuses to drink.
4. Costumes are called "Fancy Dress" I don't even know what to write as an explanation for this...
So Halloween was fun. But you know what made it SO much better?? CANDY CORN AND PUMPKINS!! My mommy sent me them! I was surprised and it made the weekend that much better cause they are my favorite! mmmm look how good they look! This bag is not going to last long... it's already half empty haha.
