Happy Pancake day everyone!! Yup that's right, in England there is a holiday called Pancake Day. I am cool with that because I love pancakes. Here is a brief history of the holiday:
"Pancake Tuesday is the day preceding Lent and serves as a way to use up rich foods such as eggs, milk, and sugar, before the fasting season of the 40 days of Lent."
Thank you Wikipedia.
Not only does everyone makes pancakes all day, but there are also pancake themed games and activites. Like the pancake races, which is basically an egg race but carrying a pan with a pancake in it that you have to flip instead.
Its a fun and useless, but tasty holiday that I am happy to help my fellow Brits celebrate!
