Gymbox

One of the good decisions I have made while I have been here in London so far was joining a gym. The LSE student gym is not free, and not great, so I decided to take my business elsewhere and joined Gym Box which is just a few blocks away from my building, so its really convenient. The gym is really cool, its hip and everyone is young and friendly. There are tons of fun classes that are all included in the membership. So far I have done "Beat Box," "Sweaty Yoga," "World Class Abs" and lots of others. From 6-8pm every night they have a life DJ come and blare live techno music and are always playing upbeat music at all other hours. Here is what the place looks like. (kinda)

Frieze Art Fair

Leave it to Max to know where all the culture is in London.

Today I went to the Frieze Art Fair in Regent's Park. It was a huge event inside an enormous enclosed tent with hundreds of booths for different galleries and dealers from around the world. There was a whole lot of art, and some of it questionable, but it was a great way to spend a weekend day, strolling around admiring, and sometimes trying to understand, the exhibits and booths.
 My favorite pieces were the paintings that were so detailed that the piece looked like a photograph. And the artist that created the Millennium Park cloud gate sculpture (the bean) in Chicago had some pieces in the show! Here are some of my favorites:

Random fact: there were a whole lot of iPads and Apple computers. It was like a requirement to have one of each in order to be invited to be a part of this art show.
